Where the Good Guys at? - What to Expect from the Blog in 2023

WHERE THE GOOD GUYS AT? - What to Expect from the Blog in 2023 Happy 2023 everybody! Ouch - 2022 really wasn't as good a year for the blog as I had hoped, now was it? Without going into personal details, I've just had way, way too much on my plate, and the blog has suffered a result... While I'm afraid some of the readers may have interpreted my greatly reduced volume of posting as loss of enthusiasm, nothing could be further from truth! The blog has still been very much on my mind, and I'm hoping that in 2023 I can truly come back swinging - then again, I'm now wise (or bloodied!) enough to know not to make any promises, but the will is there! Unpublished, but not Forgotten - Clearing the Backlog What's been weighting on me the most, has been the fact that I still haven't been able to summon the time and the effort to complete PandaBeastMode's excellent IGL recap , but I'll finnish that next or die trying! After that there are still some RTF pieces...

The Good Guys Go Esports #1 - Commented IGL Satellite Game Between Bakunin and Combined Army

THE GOOD GUYS GO ESPORTS #1 - Commented IGL Satellite Game Between Bakunin and Combined Army In this (hopefully a) series (to be), I'll be teaming up with members of the community to provide commenting on games played by others.   The one and only PandaBeastMode was kind enough to ask me to comment a streamed Infinity Global League Satellite Event second round match with him, and how I could I say no? Without further delay - here's a Highly Hassified match between Pseudonymmster's Jurisdictional Command of Bakunin and Stanx's Combined Army ! You can expect a short post on the future of the blog soon! Until the next time - I wish you the very best in leading the Swift and Deadly Spear of the Haqqislamite Army to Victory!

An Obligatory Teaser Post

An Obligatory Teaser Post The Picture is for ambiguous teasing puproses only, and is provided by Corvus Belli.   Hello all! I'm terribly sorry that I haven't been able to dedicate more time for the blog of late, but rest assured that it's never too far from my mind! While I have some more "traditional RTF stuff" in the works in the longer term, today is not about that! Some acute readers may recall me agonizing over how to provide you with high quality Battle Reports with reprisentation from both parties involded, and also on how I could help other great Voices in the community get heard... Now it finally seems that I - or rather We - might have an answer ready! If everything goes to plan there will be some totally new kind of content coming your way soon! And with that nice and vague teaser, it's time to say once more... Until the next time - I wish you the very best in leading the Swift and Deadly Spear of the Haqqislamite Army to Victory!

WIP12 Podcast Ramah Taskforce Episode - With Yours Truly as One of the Guests!

WIP12 Podcast Ramah Taskforce Episode - With Yours Truly as One of the Guests! Hello everyone! I'm excited that I can finally share the news with you all; Raymond (AKA Cabaray ) was kind enough to have me on the WIP12 Infinity Podcast to talk about RTF with Jonathon (AKA ivoryronin ) and boy did we have some things to talk about! Have a listen yourself, and feel free ask any questions that the episode might raise by for example commenting below! I have to preface the discussion we had by stating that this time around is was deliberately sitting in my " very competitive player chair " and thus my bar for what's great and what's not was higher than usual - but this doesn't mean that I'd changed my mind on many units per se, it's just that I was taking a different approach from my usual outlook for this one! Also don't take my criticisms on some of the units and Fireteams too seriously either ; after recording the episode I felt my creative juices ...

In Search of Wisdom - My First Thoughts on RTF and ITS14

IN SEARCH OF WISDOM - My First Thoughts on the RTF and ITS14 In this series I reflect on the game of Infinity, as well the place of Ramah Taskforce in it.   I wrote an article like this one a year ago, so you should know what to expect - a combination of hot'n'cold takes on how the newest Organized Play Season of Infinity will effect our beloved Good Guys and Gals wearing Orange shoulder patches! Here we go!   Thunderclapping It  The ITS14 Season is named " Thunderclap " - the Combined Army 's armada has dealt the Cerberus Blockade above Consilium Prima a thunderous blow, and now it's time for the Factions of the Human Sphere to mount a lightning counter attack! The beginning of a new year of ITS not only means changes in the list of Missions available for competitive play and the shift of the global (and maybe to a lesser extend, the local) meta due to the new Special Rules introduced by the story, but it also marks the passing of some of the things that...

A Quick Word on the Progress of Article Updates

A Quick Word on the Progress of Article Updates Hello everyone!   I just wanted to let everyone know that the blog is still alive and well, and I've been using the majority of my writing time of late to update all of my Unit Focus Articles (as well as most of my other stuff) to reflect the changes brought about by the N4 Fireteam Update, as well as some of the things I've learned since originally posting the pieces. As a result of my progress, I've now removed the "Update Completed" tags from those texts that are up to date, and I've instead marked the articles that still require some form of re-writing. I'm committed to providing you with new original Ramah Taskforce content in the near(ish) future, so stay tuned! Happy gaming everyvbody! Until the next time - I wish you the very best in leading the Swift and Deadly Spear of the Haqqislamite Army to Victory!

After Action Report #3 - Operation Astral Tears

AFTER ACTION REPORT #3 - Operation Astral Tears I wasn't planning on taking part in the Durgama Takeover Online Campaign, and even less so planning on writing Battle Reports for it. However, one night I chanced upon the most nice gentleman who introduced himself as Asura Amari on the Campaign website, and he was looking for a TTS game. After our game I noticed that the website would reward my Opponent further if I also wrote down my part of the game. I figured this would be a two birds with one stone type of deal, so I ended writing this Report for both the Durgama Takeover Campaign and the Good Guys Wear Orange! As I wasn't planning of making this report to begin with, I originally did't take any pictures - which meant that I had to go back and recreate the battle from memory to get what I needed. All this is a long winded way of saying that this After Action Report is going to one of a lighter variant told only from my perspective - you can read Asura Amarin's versi...
