An Obligatory Teaser Post

An Obligatory Teaser Post The Picture is for ambiguous teasing puproses only, and is provided by Corvus Belli.   Hello all! I'm terribly sorry that I haven't been able to dedicate more time for the blog of late, but rest assured that it's never too far from my mind! While I have some more "traditional RTF stuff" in the works in the longer term, today is not about that! Some acute readers may recall me agonizing over how to provide you with high quality Battle Reports with reprisentation from both parties involded, and also on how I could help other great Voices in the community get heard... Now it finally seems that I - or rather We - might have an answer ready! If everything goes to plan there will be some totally new kind of content coming your way soon! And with that nice and vague teaser, it's time to say once more... Until the next time - I wish you the very best in leading the Swift and Deadly Spear of the Haqqislamite Army to Victory!

WIP12 Podcast Ramah Taskforce Episode - With Yours Truly as One of the Guests!

WIP12 Podcast Ramah Taskforce Episode - With Yours Truly as One of the Guests! Hello everyone! I'm excited that I can finally share the news with you all; Raymond (AKA Cabaray ) was kind enough to have me on the WIP12 Infinity Podcast to talk about RTF with Jonathon (AKA ivoryronin ) and boy did we have some things to talk about! Have a listen yourself, and feel free ask any questions that the episode might raise by for example commenting below! I have to preface the discussion we had by stating that this time around is was deliberately sitting in my " very competitive player chair " and thus my bar for what's great and what's not was higher than usual - but this doesn't mean that I'd changed my mind on many units per se, it's just that I was taking a different approach from my usual outlook for this one! Also don't take my criticisms on some of the units and Fireteams too seriously either ; after recording the episode I felt my creative juices ...

In Search of Wisdom - My First Thoughts on RTF and ITS14

IN SEARCH OF WISDOM - My First Thoughts on the RTF and ITS14 In this series I reflect on the game of Infinity, as well the place of Ramah Taskforce in it.   I wrote an article like this one a year ago, so you should know what to expect - a combination of hot'n'cold takes on how the newest Organized Play Season of Infinity will effect our beloved Good Guys and Gals wearing Orange shoulder patches! Here we go!   Thunderclapping It  The ITS14 Season is named " Thunderclap " - the Combined Army 's armada has dealt the Cerberus Blockade above Consilium Prima a thunderous blow, and now it's time for the Factions of the Human Sphere to mount a lightning counter attack! The beginning of a new year of ITS not only means changes in the list of Missions available for competitive play and the shift of the global (and maybe to a lesser extend, the local) meta due to the new Special Rules introduced by the story, but it also marks the passing of some of the things that...

After Action Report #2 - Operation Dead Man's Hand

AFTER ACTION REPORT #2 - Operation Dead Man's Hand In this series I join forces with my Opponents in order to try and present play-by-play Battle Reports from both players' perspectives simultaneously.   Disclaimer! Please note that the game you're about to read about was played prior to the N4 Fireteam update of March 2022.   The Second Time Around Thank you everyone who've given comments on the first After Action Report article ( Operation Unrelenting Facade ); your support and interest means a lot to me! I'm eager to see where future pieces of this series will take us!   Recently my buddy GtotheM contacted me and volunteered himself to not only playing with me, but to also co-writing a Battle Report from our game for the blog! I didn't have a preference for the Mission this time around, so my friend picked Countermeasures - my favorite! Due to the physical distance between us, we ended up playing the game on Tabletop Simulator ; let's hope the digital...

Coordinated Command - PandaBeastMode's IGL Season 2 Report (Part 1/2)

COORDINATED COMMAND - PandaBeastMode's IGL Season 2 Report (1/2) In this article series I turn to other members of the vibrant Infinity community to offer my blog as platform for them to showcase their thoughts - whether those thoughts be about Ramah Taskforce or something entirely else!   Disclaimer! At the time of the writing of this article, PandaBeastMode doesn't own a sufficient painted Yu Jing collection to illustrate the piece, so I'm using pictures taken from the Corvus Belli's websites instead!   On PandaBeastMode For a while now I've felt that one way to evolve The Good Guys Wear Orange further would be to include other members of the community more in it's articles. The first After Action Report saw the first instance of words not penned by yours truly being part of the blog, and I'm both happy and honored that my good friend Tanan got to be the first to break the ice! The piece you're about to read is the first one on TGGWO entirely written...

In Search of Wisdom - Q/A Article (Part 1)

IN SEARCH OF WISDOM - Q/A Article (Part 1) (Update Pending) In this series I reflect on the game of Infinity, as well the place of Ramah Taskforce in it.   I felt like trying something new, and thus asked for the readers of the blog to send me any questions they might have on their minds so that I might get some fresh perspectives from which to approach my beloved Sectorial from. I can gratefully say that not only have I received many questions, but they have also been very deep and interesting ones to boot! I've paraphrased the questions to a form that makes them easier to include in this piece (and maybe even a bit easier to answer!), and I'm sorry if any of the adjustments I've made to the questions have inflated their value in any way! This article saw some extensive reworking in the August of 2022 due to the N4 Fireteam (and RTF Unit) Update that happened earlier in the year, so the article you see now isn't word for word the same as the one I originally posted,...
