Where Are the Good Guys At? - What to Expect from the Blog in Early 2022

WHERE ARE THE GOOD GUYS AT? - What to Expect from the Blog in Early 2022

Happy 2022 everyone! As it's been a few weeks since I've last posted an article and I've got plenty of things in the works, I thought it might be a decent idea to give everyone a heads-up on some of stuff forthcoming on the Good Guys Wear Orange! So here are some of things that the readers of the blog can expect in the following weeks/the next few months!
  • The first Coordinated Command article, authored by PandaBeastMode! After the positive experieces gained from the Q/A Article and the launch of the After Action Report series, I'm looking to get more of voices in the community heard through the blog in the future. The first totally guest written article penned by the IGL Season 2 Champion PandaBeastMode is scheduled to be the next thing to be released!
  • The next Battle Report is nearing it's completion! A game between my Ramah Taskforce and GtotheM's USAriadna Ranger Force has been played, and we are in the closing stages of writing the After Action Report on what happened!
  • The Officer Training School will also soon resume it's classes! The next piece will be covering theory on the tempo of the game, and it looks to give examples of the types of plays an (RTF) Commander could end up executing at the various stages of a game.
  • There is not one, but two new Unit Focus Articles incoming! Since I "ended" the series, Corvus Belli has added two rather impactful models to Ramah Taskforce in Fiddler and the Beasthunters, and needless to say, these units also need to have their time in the sun! I've played Fiddler quite a bit so far, so she'll be up first*, and the new Mercenary option shouldn't have to wait for their moment too much longer either!
  • I'm looking forward to writing new Veteran's Word additions! I've had plenty of eye opening experiences and I've learned new tricks when playing the Units I've already written pieces on, and thus as planned I'm going to update these thoughts in the form of Veteran's Words!
  • Not everything needs to be spoiled though! I have a couple of new ideas in mind, and I'm in the talks with some players about involving them in the blog more in the future, but for the time I won't go deeper into those things... We'll have to wait and see!
Thank you everyone for your continued interest in the Good Guys Wear Orange, may the year 2022 be great for you all!

Until the next time - I wish you the very best in leading the Swift and Deadly Spear of the Haqqislamite Army to Victory!

*21/2/2022 Edit. I've added links to the articles already published. The Fiddler piece has been pushed back to tad, but her time will come!

THE COURT OF THE SCORPION QUEEN - Maghariba Guards & Shakushs in RTF In the Unit Focus series I take a look at the different units that make up the Ramah Taskforce, and try to answer why, not if, you should include them in your lists.   (Disclaimer! As of writing of this article, there is no Corvus Belli released model for the Shakush Light Armored Unit, and thus I've painted a Gecko Squadron model to serve as a replacement, as I feel it incampsulates the essence of this Light TAG quite well.) While it is highly unorthodox to field a TAG - especially the largest TAG in the game - in a rapid reaction force that's mostly made up of light units, there are times when even Ramah Taskforce players get to go big (rather than go home)! While you propably came here for the supersoldiers and other elite operatives , sometimes the situation (or one's mood) requires busting out the biggest guns and the heaviest armor; so let's talk about the two Tactical Armored Gear units ...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - Wild Bill and Carmen Johns & Bâtard in RTF

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY - Wild Bill and Carmen Johns & Bâtard in RTF In the Unit Focus series I take a look at the different units that make up the Ramah Taskforce, and try to answer why, not if, you should include them in your lists.   (Disclaimer! I've made the decision to use a Dynamo Biker and a spare Antipode model to reprisent Carmen & Bâtard - I've made this decision purely on stylistic grounds, and I still find the actual models amazing, if less professional looking, than the ones I've chosen to use!)   While most of Ramah Taskforce is made up of dedicated Haqqislamite career soldiers, there are also more eccentric characters mixed into the force. In this article, I'm going to take a look at the Faction's only Warband option in the mercenary biker Carmen Johns and her companion Antipode Bâtard , as well as the legendary Aristeia! gunslinger (and a Janissary wannabe), Wild Bill In This World, There Are Two Kinds of People...
